At noon on an August day, it was hot and sunny, but it was very cool in Hoai Khao. The winds from the primeval forest blow back, making visitors feel relaxed, at the foot of the mountain, winding terraced fields stretch along the romantic hillside. In the 3-room wooden house with nearly a hundred square meters, Mr. Chu Khanh Thinh said: There are 2 clans of Chu and Ly living in the hamlet, and the unique cultural features of the Dao Tien people are preserved and handed down to the next generation. Housing remains the same as it was in the past. The Dao Tien people have sophisticated silver carving, traditional weaving, embroidered dress patterns, and printed patterns on skirts with beeswax. The cultural activities, cuisine and the customs and habits imbued with identity such as the ceremony of granting the identity, the celebration of new rice ... are still maintained by the local people.

Ms. Trieu Thi Chai said: “In order to maintain and preserve the profession of printing patterns with beeswax, girls from 10 years old have been taught by their mothers and grandmothers. The beeswax used to print patterns on the costumes of the Dao Tien people in Hoai Khao is usually Khoai beeswax, which is harvested by local people at two beehives in Ta Lat and San Vinh. The women in Hoai Khao village all sew their own costumes, on average each person will have between 10 and 30 sets of clothes to wear when participating in labor and important holidays and festivals.

Next to the houses built of wood, with yin and yang tiled roofs, each family in Hoai Khao has a wooden storage room to separate it from the main house. The rice storage is also a unique feature only in Hoai Khao. According to Mr. Chu Khanh Kiem, head of Hoai Khao hamlet, since ancient times, people in Hoai Khao hamlet have had a tradition of making a wooden grain storehouse separate from the main house, the original purpose was so that when there was a fire in the house, the storage room would be stored. Rice is still safe, people still have food. Today, people still keep this unique feature, visitors come here to enjoy and learn about the rice warehouse.

The Dao Tien people in Hoai Khao live close to nature, consciously protecting the landscape and environment. The forest here is protected, with many big and old trees, as proof of the closeness and harmony with nature. In the hamlet, there is a tree of Hoi An that grows naturally, which is a single tree, growing straight, spreading evenly around. Currently, the village has built 7 homestays; 3 houses displaying living utensils, production tools; 3 sets of tables and chairs at 3 rest huts; perform foot bath service at 1 home; install 9 trash cans at specified points; cultural house upgrade; preserving a number of customs and practices; planting flowers, fences on both sides of the road in accordance with the local identity; investment in building infrastructure including roads, irrigation ditches and electricity worth over VND 25 billion to serve the needs of tourists coming to visit and relax. Many roads are concrete, with fences and flowers, spacious, clean and beautiful roads.
